Tinig UK gets Internews funding

Tinig UK was recently selected as one of the recipients of the Information Saves Lives Rapid Response Fund from Internews.  It is the only UK-based media outlet to receive a grant under this project.

The fund aims to support media outlets,  organisations and individuals reporting on COVID-19 for underserved communities around the world.  Tinig UK applied for the grant in May when it started to report about the situation of Filipino healthcare workers being disproportionately affected by Covid-19.

Internews is an international NGO working to build healthy media and information environments where they are most needed.

Tinig UK will use the fund to develop its website and improve its news-gathering and reporting capacity related to Covid-19.
