Tinig UK would like to thank Filipino businesses and individuals who responded to our call for sponsors for the first ever national essay writing competition for Filipino children in the UK to celebrate World Children’s Day 2022. Without their generous support, we would not be able to hold this event.
Maraming salamat! Daghang salamat! Salamat unay! Dacal a salamat! Damo nga salamat! Sapulu a salamat! Sukran! Balbaleg ya salamat!
Talas Books
Talas Books is your source of Philippine children’s books in the UK, featuring a special selection of books for young readers from reputable Philippine publishers. Most of the books in stock feature English translations.
Talas means ‘sharp’ in Tagalog. Like its English word equivalent, Talas means bright, or of intellect/wit, when used to describe a person. Books, of course, can be a wonderful way for our little ones to learn about different languages and cultures.
Talas Books hopes to provide a much-needed service for the Filipino diaspora in the UK, especially for parents who are looking for ways to share their Filipino heritage with their children.
Aya.Co Handmade with Love
Cherrylyn ‘Che’ Alba started Aya.Co Handmade with Love in the spring of 2022. She is a fully qualified midwife who decided to be a stay-at-home mum to look after her young daughter. Che started creating resin moulds as a hobby which has now developed into an enterprise which she takes great pride in.
Aya.Co is your source of personalised earrings, bookmarks, key rings, charms, dog tags and other gift items for your loved ones.
The name Aya derives from the initials of Che’s daughter. Like the love she has for her daughter, Che ensures that each item she makes is made with love and finished to the highest standard. All their products are hand-made, making each one uniquely different.
