How to register as a Filipino overseas voter in the UK

Who can register as an overseas voter?

Filipino citizens who are abroad or will be abroad, and at least eighteen (18) years of age on 12 May 2025, and are not otherwise disqualified by law, can register as overseas voters.

When is the deadline for the registration period?

The registration period will end on 30 September 2024.

What are the requirements to be able to register?

You need to submit in person the following documents at the Philippine Embassy in London:

1) A completed OVF1 form.

2) A valid Philippine passport. In the absence of a passport,

a) A certification issued by the Philippine Embassy that it has received and reviewed the appropriate documents submitted by the applicant and found them sufficient to warrant the issuance of a passport, or that the applicant is a holder of a valid passport but is unable to produce the same for a valid reason;

b) For Filipinos with dual citizenship, the original or certified true copy of the Order of Approval of application to retain or reacquire their Filipino citizenship or their Identification Certificates issued by the Philippine Embassy or the Bureau of Immigration;

c) For Filipino seafarers, a photocopy of their Seafarer’s Book.

Do I need an appointment to register at the Philippine Embassy?

No appointment is needed for the filing of application for registration. Applicants may proceed to the Embassy from 9:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday to Friday (except on Philippine and UK Bank Holidays).
